UH-GAF was proud to participate in Cairo Water Week Conference, where our President, Professor Vincent Emery, delivered the plenary speech at the Water Sustainability Hackathon; sponsored by the Regional Centre for Training and Water Studies (RCTWS), with whom UH-GAF has an MoU.
Prof. Emery shared insights on innovation and impact in water sustainability, highlighting how emerging technologies like sensors and AI are transforming the field. “This was a wonderful session showcasing excellent innovative solutions for water sustainability from teams across Africa,” he said.
We were honored by the presence of H.E. the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Egypt, who presented awards to the winning teams; a powerful recognition of Egypt’s commitment to innovative, continent-wide water solutions.
The session also featured Prof. Salwa Abiu El Ella, President of RCTWS/PACWA and Dr. Mona Khairy Faread, Founder & Chairperson of Integrated Scientific Group (ISG).
