Digital Media Design is a key element of the Creative Industries. Our Digital Media Design programme explores the digital field, including game design, multimedia platforms, mobile devices, creating web-based content, interactive video, live performance technology, digital art installations and creating augmented and virtual reality applications establishing a rich, hybrid area of study for the 21st century. The BA (Hons) in Digital Media Design equips graduates for a wide variety of careers, including work in computer games design, film, visual effects, TV, content creation, advertising, user experience design and digital media development. Digital media design is used widely in other fields, such as training, events, commerce, education, museum experience design, digital marketing, and entertainment. Our practical and professionally focused programme is reinforced by strong ties to the regional Digital Media industry which offers advice, training, internships, and collaboration to keep the curriculum current and relevant and shape students into the professionals of tomorrow.
Graduates are equipped for employment within Digital Media and have both specific and transferrable skills which are in wide demand in related industry sectors and the public sector. All graduates can expect to be highly employable within related industries in the Middle East and Africa. Alternatively, some graduates may wish to extend their studies in Egypt, or in the UK, by taking a taught postgraduate or research-based award.

In this year, you will be introduced to a range of skills and ideas significant to the visual arts, including; Life drawing – scale, proportion, line, structure, measurement, tone, contrast, mass, composition, and form. The digital media program equips its students with the necessary skills for employment through professional development planning, sector analysis, portfolio development, networking, product design, and various other capabilities. Students who complete the program have a range of potential employment prospects, including opportunities in media production houses, graphic and content creation, mobile and web applications, web design, user experiences in industries such as games, mobile, TV, and web design.
Moreover, graduates of the program can pursue careers as interactive designers/developers, digital branding/advertising specialists, digital artists, creative programmers, coders, and indie game developers. The program prepares students for a diverse range of roles in the digital media industry.
