About the Degree

The Mass Communications degree offers a range of opportunities like no other. Students learn to master a wide variety of skills in digital design, film and video-making, advertising, and public relations as well as multimedia and broadcast journalism.

Using state-of-the-art facilities and mentored by seasoned industry academics, students are well-equipped to embrace the job market after their 4 years conclude. Further to their class-based skills, the department’s student digital broadcast service (MCTV) along with field trips, expert workshops, and guest lectures. 

Earning this degree will open for you whole range of opportunities, including exploring publishing and PR, examining the ethical and legal aspects of journalism, developing your voice as a writer, and studying the context behind films.

  • As a UH-GAF student you will have access to the University of Hertfordshire’s StudyNet web-based facility, which allows students to access electronic teaching and learning resources from UH in the UK and have online discussions with faculties and students. 
  • Study and get hands-on experience by creating projects in modern, high-tech facilities and studios.
  • Gain knowledge from industry leaders and develop real-world skills to academic theories.

Progression Requirements:  From IFP to Level 4

Students are expected to meet the following requirements in the International Foundation Programme (IFP) to progress to Level 4. 
  • Achieve a grade of 40% in all other modules.
