Undergraduate pharmacy programmes have changed worldwide to provide a pharmacy graduate with advanced specification to match the needs of the 21st century. We offer the 1st UK validated MPharm programme in Egypt. Our distinguished programme implements the modern educational strategies and utilize advanced teaching, learning, and evaluation techniques.

In this programme, you will learn the science behind the use of medicines, including the physiology and anatomy of the human body, the effect of medicines, and how medicines are designed. You’ll also study the role of the pharmacist in healthcare and industry and develop vital skills such as clinical communications and problem-solving. Our state-of-art clinical simulation suites and mock pharmacy provide a realistic clinical environment for our students to practice the necessary skills under the supervision of our esteemed faculty members.

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS: FROM IFP TO LEVEL 4
PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS:  FROM LEVEL 4 ONWARDS 



Students are expected to meet the following requirements in the International Foundation Programme (IFP) to progress to Level 4. 
  • Achieve a grade of 60% in Advanced Chemistry.
  • Achieve a grade of 40% in all other modules.

    -Programme-specific assessment regulations;  (progression requirements from Level 4 onwards)

    *The programme complies with the University's academic regulations (in particular, UPR AS11, UPR AS13 and UPR AS14) with the exception of those listed below, which have been approved by the University:

    -At each academic level, a student will normally be required to have passed 60 credits (following any referral opportunity, where applicable) to be permitted a re-enrolment opportunity.
    -Progression from Level 4 to Level 5 normally requires a minimum of 120 credit points at Level 4.
    -Progression from level 5 to level 6 normally requires 240 credit points with a minimum of 120 credit points from level 5 and 120 credit points from level 4.
    -Progression from level 6 to level 7 part 1 normally requires
    360 credit points with a minimum of 120 credit points from level 6, 120 credit points from level 5 and 120 credit points from level 4.
    -Students must normally successfully complete 90 credits at level 7 part 1 in order to undertake the Placement module (7FHH2004) at level 7 part 2.

    -No compensation is normally permitted between modules and no final compensatory credit is permitted for the MPharm.
    -Attendance at teaching sessions is monitored and students must normally attend 75% of workshops and practicals on every module. This condition must be met for the student to pass the module successfully and fulfil the learning outcomes, students who do not meet these attendance requirements will normally fail the module and may not be eligible for referral.

The modules you will study include Biology and Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Human Physiology with Pharmacology, Introduction to Medicines and Clinical Practice, Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics, Drugs and Medicine Development and Public Health and Patient Safety.

Transferring from Pharmaceutical Science to MPharm Academic Terms and Conditions:
  • In order to transfer from Pharmaceutical Science to level 5 MPharm, you must complete IFP and then pass all level 4 Pharm Sci modules.
  • In addition, you must pass an English test prepared by the English Academic Skills Center with a score equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band.
  • You are only eligible to sit for the English test after passing all level 4 Pharm Sci modules.
