Global Classroom Project: Linking UH students in the UK and Egypt

April 7, 2022

The Global Classroom Project is a significant and effective initiative that builds a bridge of unity and communication between students. That is why our School of Business, which has always been keen on exposing its students to multicultural and international experiences, has successfully carried out the Global Classroom Project between our students at UH-GAF and international students at UH, the British campus.

The goal of the project was to create strong learning outcomes such as forming an understanding of the communications and messaging theories that support content marketing, explain the relationship between content marketing and search engine optimisation, teaching our students to use a range of digital content production tools to produce marketing content, and so on.

The essence of this unifying initiative was created through forming 14 groups of mixed students (each group included 2 UH-GAF students and 5-6 students from our British campus) where the students had to connect and discuss how their projects will be carried out. The projects predominantly focused on creating presentations or a discussions that answer the following questions: How do you define content marketing? What is the purpose of content marketing? Do you think content marketing is the solution to current marketing problems? What aspects of culture do we need to consider when it comes to content marketing?

Four UH-GAF students have won the competition, including Hanin Hamdy, Youssef Osama, Nada Gad and Samer Moenes. The first-place and second-place winners won Amazon vouchers for GBP 50, whereas the runners-up won Amazon vouchers for GBP 25. The project was supervised by both Egyptian and British moderators, such as Module Leader Dr. Jimmy Pressly and Dr. Ibrahim El Sahouly, and of course, our Dean of Business School Dr. Neveen Abdel-Aziz.
