The University of Hertfordshire in Egypt, hosted by Global Academic Foundation, is the first full-fledged branch campus of a UK university in Egypt.
Our school of Engineering and Computer Science is meeting with an Industry Advisory Board (IAB) on Sunday, November 6th here on campus, in order to support interaction and identify opportunities between the department and those companies. The Industry Advisory Board includes prestigious personnel from national, multi and international companies, such: Siemens, AOI, Orange, Etisalat, Huawei, and more.
The School of Engineering and Computer Science wishes to create an IAB for multiple reasons, such as utilizing the board’s perspective and experience, enhancing the school’s position as a center of excellence for teaching and learning, receiving recommendations and suggestions in terms of changes to courses and programmes, to develop the department’s strategy by providing guidance on long-term developments and to overall maximize employment opportunities for our Engineering and Computer Science graduates.
As UH-GAF is always aiming to transform students into avid learners and professionals and is consistently empowering them to play their part in the global economy, the role of this Industry Advisory Board certainly aligns with the university’s goals, values and vision when it comes to fully powering its students’ potential.
